The American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® 2024 Resuscitation Silver Award recognizes our commitment to treating in-hospital cardiac arrest and ultimately helping to improve survival rates.
Guidelines that led to AHWM receiving the Silver award include following protocols for patient safety, medical emergency team response, effective and timely resuscitation (CPR) and post-resuscitation care.

American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines® 2024 Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award
This year’s American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® 2024 Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, marks the 10th straight year we’ve received this prestigious award.
“This is a great example of how the Primary Stroke Care team works in conjunction with the hospital to provide the best possible care for our stroke patients,” said Dr. Antonio Liu. “This award celebrates the stroke platform, support and direction from the hospital, and the entire team.”
We also received further recognition for Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite.
Congratulations to our Primary Stroke Care team, led by Dr. Antonio Liu, for 10 consecutive years of recognized excellence in providing the highest quality care for our patients.
Adventist Health White Memorial pursues Comprehensive Stroke Center certification
We are proud to announce that Adventist Health White Memorial has begun its journey to become a Comprehensive Stroke Center. This certification will significantly enhance our ability to treat stroke patients, not only with medication but also with advanced interventions such as mechanical thrombectomy and other surgical procedures.
Under the leadership of our new Neuroendovascular Surgery Medical Director, Dr. Zachary Rollins Barnard, and in partnership with our Stroke Director, Dr. Antonio Liu, our stroke team has already successfully completed multiple neuroendovascular surgery procedures. We are working diligently to reach the next phase of certification by the new year.
Achieving this certification will be a significant milestone for our Primary Stroke Center at AHWM. It will allow us to provide continuous care for our stroke patients while also receiving patients from other hospitals and our community who require advanced stroke care.
