Gala 2024: You Gave Hope to Our Community

Thanks to you, Gala 2024 raised more than $1.1 million* to expand access to healthcare in East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights and Montebello.  

Under the leadership of Gala co-chairs Lizette Carbajal, Vice President of Community Relations and Communications for Telemundo 52 and NBC4, and Efrain Escobedo, President and CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Management, we honored Beverly Hospital’s legacy of care in Montebello while sharing a hopeful vision for Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello’s future. 

Expanding access to care in Montebello means we can train more healthcare professionals from within the community through the Healthcare Workforce Development Program, upgrade the hospital, and, most importantly, provide residents of Montebello and surrounding communities access to quality care close to home.  

GALA HONORS 

Honorable Hilda Solis, Los Angeles County Supervisor, First District, received the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award. 

US Bank was named 2024 Community Partner of the Year. 

GALA FUND-A-NEED 

Montebello Community Well-Being Center 

The Gala Fund-A-Need raised funds to build the new Montebello Community Well-Being Center at Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello.  

The new Community Well-Being Center will offer free health and well-being resources to Montebello families, including exercise classes, help with insurance enrollment and a food pantry. It will also host the Healthcare Workforce Development Program and serve as a space for community support in physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
